• From 1983 till 1994: lecturer/researcher in constitutional and administrative law at Tilburg University.
• From 1994 till 1999: coordinative staffmember of the legal department of the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Sciences in Zoetermeer.
• From 1999 until now: senior lecturer and researcher in constitutional and administrative law and (part-time) professor in Educational Law at Tilburg University.
